Freshly made ice cream rolls are one of the newest dessert-trends in London. And the Pan-n-Ice street food truck at Westfield in Stratford City is definitely the place to try it out.

Pan-n-Ice let you choose between a wide range of toppings from Nutella and Oreos to cheesecake and peanut butter cups.

The snack of your choice is mixed with a fresh liquid ice cream or frozen yoghurt and then smushed up on a frozen plate.

The mix is flattened and 'freeze-fried and then rolled into bite sized pieces in front of your eyes.

A trend from Thailand

The Pan-n-Ice van is run by the best friends Rob and Henry who got their inspiration from a backpacking trip in Thailand.

Freeze fried ice cream rolls have been a trend on the streets of Thailand for years, and Rob and Henry decided to bring it to London in 2015. Since then they have developed their recipe to be the UK’s number 1 in the field.

The ice cream is available at Westfield, Stratford City everyday from 10am to 9pm.
