Maracon, ice cream, sandwiches - now you don't need to choose between them. Currently based in Covent Garden's Siam Eatery pop-up shop , Yolkin suggest an unbelievable mix of your favorite treats.
Founded in 2015 by a girl, who had a passion in baking, Yolkin has become a must-eat for any London foodie. Sammie, Yolkin's originator, came up this this wonderful idea while baking macarons. "They are finicky little things and only use egg whites," she says. She didn't want to waste the yolks, so she bought an ice cream machine and created an unique recipe of delicious treats.This is where the unusual name, Yolkin, comes from.
Sammie designs her creations using all the all the possible flavors: from Salted Caramel Rhubarb&Custard to Green Tea. With Yolkin, you can try macaron ice cream sandwiches with different fillings created from scratch...Would you choose Milk Cookies or Pineapple&Coconut? Blueberry Cheesecake or Red Velvet? Lychee&Rose or Apple Crumble? The Easter weekend's flavorings were Coconut Mango, Mini Choco Eggs, Earl Grey and the bestseller - Hot Cross Bun!
Yolkin also ensures the quality of their product: all the eggs used are from free range hens and the ice cream itself is made without any stabilizers or preservatives. All of the macaron ice cream sandwiches are made and sold the same week.
You can try Yolkin's sweet treats any weekend from 12pm-4pm (or until sold out).
