Become a micro-tenant of Ziferblat, Shoreditch
Despite the universal fame of the chain, you can barely notice Ziferblat among favorite spots of every hipsterish Londoner: pubs, serving craft-beer and milkshakes, raving rooftops and co-working coffeeshops. Shoreditch be Shorditch.
Surprisingly, Ziferblat is crowded and bustling inside, even on the Monday’s afternoon. Getting people of different backgrounds and ages to have fun under one roof isn’t an easy task, but Ziferblat has definitely successfully coped with this mission.
Opened back in 2014 by Ivan Mitin, Ziferblat's Shoreditch branch was proclaimed the first pay-per-minute cafe in London. «Everything is free inside: except for the time you spend», the anti-cafe's slogan says. It means visitors have a free access to the tearoom and a cozy multispace suitable both for various activities like having a Monopoly party with colleagues to relaxing on a Soviet-styled sofa with a cup of coffee and a copy of the Fintech Times, for only 5 pence a minute.
A new format is accompanied by a mysterious conceptual name, which can be translated as 'clock face' from Russian, Soviet retro-styled furniture, bookshelves full of Cyrillic writings and the super-friendly staff. A Secret Hide Away Room with a bed and pillows is also available for guests tired after a long busy working day.
Anti-cafes (multispaces, where you only pay for the time) became extremely popular in
Russia round 2011 and since then spread outside its borders. Having branches across Russia, Ukraine, Slovenia and even Mongolia. London branch is the owners personal fave one: Mitin considers the consept is close to a crazy spirit of the megapolis. Apart from London, Ziferblat is also situated in Manchester and Liverpool.
